Friday night in Flower Mound Texas means high school football in the fall, basketball and baseball from winter through spring. And soccer seems to run year round. An important part of playing any sport is assessing your physical abilities and avoiding unknown medical conditions, which is why most schools require some form of medical exam before allowing student athletes to compete.

It is important to realize passing this physical and receiving qualification for sports participation is no guarantee that your athlete will not incur any injuries, illnesses, or compromise of well being this season. However the advantages produced by physical fitness, team cooperation, good sportsmanship, self respect, and discipline of training provided by sports participation typically outweigh many of the risks involved.
